Re: Xavier recruits and transfers
If Trey leaves as well this will be another full blown rebuild and an epic fail by Miller handling personel and playing time. Hunter will not be ready for upcoming season and who knows about Free. At least Miller jock sniffers like Fanta put them at 25. Unreal

That got my attention, and I kind of think it portends well for X. Fanta is no jock sniffer, is wired in with all BE teams, and also knows how empty the cupboard is at X. I also think he probably knows about the pending plans of Claude and Green. The fact that he ranked X that high tells me they probably are close to some really good players. FWIW another site ranked X at 36.skyhops wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 7:33 pmIf Trey leaves as well this will be another full blown rebuild and an epic fail by Miller handling personel and playing time. Also, someone at UK said Miller is in the next line of candidates. His stock is still very high in the world of CBB.

I have to disagree with his stock being high. He is mentioned because of his past pedigree and never was really in UK’s plans. I like Fanta, but he Paul I think had X at 12 BE wins and have inflated expectations. We probably will have one starter back next year and you see how a roster of new players worked out last year. Development of recruits has been awful and X can swing and miss anymore.

I still think SM is a top-10-15 coach, but you will get no argument with me about his management, or lack there of regarding players, this past year. I think he develops players well, when given a chance.skyhops wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 9:07 amI have to disagree with his stock being high. Fun fact: In 3 fewer years as an NCAA coach, SM has 9 more Tourney Wins than the guy at Westwood. Cronin is the biggest fraud in the NCAA.

Miller/X struggling to recruit. 0 incoming freshman cant be part of his plan. I know the game is different, but I do not recall that happening.

Re: Xavier recruits and transfers
Recruiting freshman is a much less lucrative proposition these days. If they are at all any good and most are not ready they expect to play since NIL money they receive suggests to them that they are “valuable” to the program. They are quick to enter the transfer portal the next year after you put them on the court when you potentially shouldn’t have yet. College basketball has become a tiered system with players testing their value nearly every year. Perhaps better to recruit players that have proven to be able to play at the college level in the transfer portal. Very few freshmen are ever going to stay at the same school that are any good.

Florida State transfer Cam'Ron Fletcher announced that he would be transferring to play for X
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Thursday could be a big day for Xavier and its first 2025 recruit. DC-area guard Nyk Lewis says he will declare on Thursday at 4:30. Other schools include Seton Hall, Creighton, Georgetown, LSU, and Michigan. Creighton is the only school he has not visited. Rival and 247 say it is Xavier. NYK is a top 75 ranked guard, 6'5" 190 lbs

He is 6'1," 190 lbs. His ratings vary from 38 to 75, with a composite average of 57. Miami, Tenn, and KSU also offered.muskieman wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 7:16 pmThursday could be a big day for Xavier and its first 2025 recruit.
