Happy Birthday -- Steve Thomas

[gundun]

Hard to believe that you are 66 today and getting a full Social Security check.

Thanks again for all the wonderful memories of XU basketball in the mid-60s. Hope to see your #10 hanging from the Cintas wall soon.

Gundun/Steve, I second that emotion; still my favorite ever X player. 30 ppg without a time clock or three point shot!

[XUBBall]

Steve was such an exciting player to watch. I've been watching Xavier hoops for 50 years and think he was our best offensive player ever. I remember him coming down the floor on fast breaks with two defensive guys on him and always (at least in my memory) getting the better of them. Thanks for the everlasting memories. I too think his number should be retired.

Hope your day gets off on the right foot even though your shot did not.

Happy birthday, Steve! Your number should be retired. You were a great BB player and XU's most exciting ever. Here's to another 66!
