PK85
As per Jon Rothstein, looks like Xavier drew Florida in the opening round of the PK85. X is on the Duke/Oregon State side of their bracket.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

This is going to be a fun tournament, but it is a little bit of a letdown that X draws Florida after just playing them in the NIT.

Re: PK85
Is anyone going to this tournament? There is a championship package that includes 4 championship games (2 mens and 2 women tournaments), 2 semi final, 2 consolation games and the opening day of games for the PKI tournament. X is in the PK Legacy tournament on Thursday so that would have to be a separate purchase.
I'm debating on getting the championship package but would prefer to go with another hoops fan if I'm going to attend that many games.

Re: PK85
Both fields are stacked but the Legacy side is more impressive based on expectations.
It will likely sprinkle this time of year but it is not the rain Cincy folk are used to. No umbrellas needed. a hoodie or a jacket with a hood should be sufficient. Homeless situation in Portland is out of control but last I was near the arenas, the area was kept clear of dangers. Seems like they want to keep things presentable/safe for travelers/event goers.
I don't spend much time in Portland but if anyone wants advice on places to stay or things to do while in the area, feel free to message me.

I would love to go because my sister lives in Lake Oswego but I will be in Florida at my brother's place.

Sorry, I need the beach, and he has an oceanfront place. Finally, the costs are better. My sister has a view of Mt Hood but no water. My brother-in-law was a teammate of Jordan in HS and a former D-1 ref out west, so I will be in communication for his expert observations. I did convert him to a Xavier fan, My sister is a UC grad, and he sends me pictures when he gets new X garb; he is so drip
I will miss the huckleberry popcorn

Re: PK85
I have a stash of huckleberries from last weekend. It seems to be time to add them to some ice cream.
I am close to Mt Hood but no views given that we are surrounded by trees. November is a bit late for swimming here but if you ever come during the summer, check out Trillium lake.
