Transfer Portal

Postby muskieman » Tue Aug 09, 2022 6:04 pm

I was talking to the people at "sixth man recruiting" about the transfer portal of the 21-22 class and they told me that of the 1752 D1 players that entered the portal 756 have not found a new home (43%)

Broken down into classes the numbers that have not found a home, their numbers

Freshmen: 336 of 713 players have not found homes 47%
Sophomores: 191 of 447 players 43%
Juniors: 288 of 544 43%
Grad transfers: 21 of 88 players 24%
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Many of these players were encouraged to transfer since they would not get playing time. Not sure all these are truly D1 caliber players.

A lot of bruised egos out there for both players and families.
