Sean Miller sits down with John Fanta

Postby muskieman » Sat Oct 08, 2022 2:53 pm

One of the quotes from Miller: “We have to reestablish winning here, and get back to the Xavier identity of toughness. I won’t shy away from it: I want to be the coach who takes this program to that first Final Four.”
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Xavier not ranked in the AP preseason poll (which is fine, we don't deserve it), but the preseason BE coaches poll has us 2nd in the league. shows how much the other coaches in the league respect Sean and know what he can do with the program and have seen what he can do with recruiting already.

I have no doubts the other coaches feel Sean is a strong basketball coach. I'm not sure how much they respect him.

If you were competing against someone in a high stakes industry, would you have respect for them if they were cheating?

based on the Big East Preseason Coaches' Poll their respect must be high because they voted Xavier 2nd
and Colby and Jack 1st team https://twitter.com/i/status/1582423768441311232

Are you saying the "Xavier Way" our fanbase has touted for 30 years is phony?

Amazing how many opinions have changed on what is acceptable behavior from college coaches since the hiring of Miller. I wonder if we would have welcomed Will Wade the same way had we hired him instead.
