Agree MM. I heard the comments on the PG situation from Miller and I have to agree it will get better. Souley looked like he was pressing and seemed to be trying to do too much. It is really hard to believe that Miles, Edwards, and Tucker are pretty much no value to Miller at this team against a D2 team. Shooting is a major concern, but if we can get Jones to play like he did in second half we will be much better.

I find it interesting that people think X shot poorly when they shot 57.14 % in the first half and 44.83 % with an overall just slightly more than 50% and the only one that really shot poorly from the foul line was Colby (1-6) or that stat would have been 80% which we have not seen in a long time.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I would hope we shot well from inside considering Free and Nunges height advantage against a smaller D2 team. A logical concern is from 3 where we have been horrible the last four years. You can make 5 3’s and win against good teams.

It is hard to know what to expect tomorrow, and this season. X has a lot of individual talent, but the pieces fit awkwardly together. Millier is a master tactician, but I think it will be a couple of years before we see his fingerprints on this program. After four years of hibernating under Jimmy Neutron, the awakening won't happen overnight.

I think this team will struggle all year long defensively, particularly against athletic bigs. Freemantle may have been the best player the other night offensively, but he rates a tad above a blocking dummy with his ability to guard in space, or laterally. They will have to outscore teams. I think they have the talent to do it most nights and was especially heartened to see that the plastic has been taken off of Tandy. He is also a defensive deficit, but a serious bucket getter.

Great to see that X has a legitimate, talented, big PG. Equally discouraging is Edwards and Tucker getting zero minutes. I relish smoking a Machanudo with Mman and the guy who sits next to me, Andy Bernard, after a big win tomorrow night.

You would think that Miles, who was considered by Steele to be a BE Defensive Player of the Year candidate could provide quality mins against a D2 team as well as Edwards and Tucker but that ship has seemed to sail. I'm nervous about three point shooting and interior defense, but in Miller I trust.
