Trayce Jackson-Davis in a word is the man X needs to stop and hopefully get in foul trouble. It is not like Indiana doesn't have other players that can beat you it is just as a 19 ppg and shooting 74% from the field he is their go-to guy. Xavier Johnson and TJD run pick and rolls to death, so X has to be ready with the help.
On X's side, Colby Jones playing is a must, but even though it might be a game-time decision, others also need to be at the top of their game with someone needing to step up if he isn't ready. Jack and Zach will really be tested offensively with Jackson-Davis and Race Thompson.
Time to kill a big ten team again and this time let's take down the team expected to win the big ten this year.
GO X

Indiana Game thread
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Indiana Game thread
this will be one of the toughest games of the year, but if we can start out decently and keep the crowd engaged, i think that will be a huge factor. keep halftime score in single digits no matter what. i'll go with 32-29 IU at half, but X finds a way to get it done in the 2nd half and wins 69-65.
that's my prediction.
that's my prediction.

Got a surprise call last night from my brother-in-law. Saying, "you ready to see X vs Indy up close?" I said hell yes! His boss gave him the company tickets so I will be able to take this puppy in up close mid-court about 9 rows or so up. Can't wait, as these are the type of games we live for. Great barometer gm for both teams. Now- Let's Freaking Go X......!

Nothing like watching from up close. Be sure to report to us after the game.

nice first half. I Wish their big boys had more fouls Keep looking solid and take this one guys so we can send all that red home unhappy. Way too much red in the Cintas

Great effort just a little bit short. Miller was coaching up a storm. Wish they had tried Edwards on Jackson. It was too easy for Jackson. Loved the effort. The future is bright.

Re: Indiana Game thread
We had the shot at winning it, and it just rimmed out. Upset but not upset because they fought throughout the game and just needed a shot here or foul shot there against the #12 team. Impressed with Tandy and Zach. I thought when Souley went to the line toward the end, we would get 2, but he missed one which is rare, it happens I was more upset with his TO toward the end. It shows X can play with the big boy now they need to finish.

Re: Indiana Game thread
The game was both encouraging and frustrating. The officials were bad. The technical fouls were silly against Indiana but far more calls went against X. Despite that X could have easy won by simply making shots they usually make. I love Nunge but he missed 2 easy shots that he always makes and didn't defend well. Kunk generally played well but he missed 2 shots he typically makes - not easy shots but shots he usually puts in the hoop.
Indiana didn't shoot well from deep in the first half which should have allowed X to go into the half with a nice lead. They didn't take advantage and the end result was unfavorable.
In a properly officiated game, I like X's chances against Indiana on a neutral court. X should be able to defend their bigs better. X should be able to execute offensively better. Indiana will likely hit a better percentage from 3 and X a bit worse but end result should be X by 4.
This game shows promise against other good teams. It may be a wakeup call for the Portland tournament but Duke is a big ask. Beating FL is a must.
