even DePaul beats Villanova
DePaul had not beaten Villanova in 14 years and lost 22 games straight to Nova over 14 years. DePaul won by 10 points. Hmmmmm not good?

Probably not ideal for top 50 wins in the conference. Certainly not good for Villanova's chances of making the tournament. Also less comfortable about Xavier's prospects within the conference. Possibly a 1 off? Possibly DePaul is capable of upsetting Xavier?
DePaul doesn't concern me as long as X plays a clean game. That unfortunately is a rare event for Xavier and they tend to squeak out wins rather than close out easily. Eventually we will see minimal defensive breakdowns and no unforced turnovers. Let's hope that happens in the tournament when it is needed most.

Villanova has been carrying this conference’s bags for years. Time for someone else to step up.Xavier2005 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 5:37 pmDePaul had not beaten Villanova in 14 years and lost 22 games straight to Nova over 14 years. DePaul won by 10 points. Hmmmmm not good?

It's everybody's chance for payback this year. I wonder if Villanova hired their Travis Steele.
