X will be without Zack's 14 points and 9 rebounds in 25 minutes he produced in the first game in December which X won 84-79.
Last game Edwards and Des played and scored 4 points each. Edwards played 3 minutes, and Des played 16. Jack scored 23 with 12 rebounds and Souley scored 17. In that game, Souley played all 40 minutes.
St John's will be without Montez Mathis G, and Rafael Pinzon G. with a game-time decision on Posh Alexander G. Mathis scored 14 points while Posh Alexander scored 11 points with 5 rebounds.
Last game the Red Storm forced Xavier into 15 turnovers
In that first meeting, David Jones led four Johnnies in double figures with 19 points to go with 10 rebounds. Posh Alexander added 11 points while Andre Curbelo dished out a game-high seven assists. Joel Soriano is averaging a BIG EAST-best 12.1 rebounds per game, good for third in the nation. Soriano is tied with Purdue's Zach Edey for the national lead with 18 double-doubles. The Muskies held him to 8 rebounds in the last game, he did score 14 points.
Tomorrow's contest marks the 22nd all-time meeting between St. John's and Xavier. The Musketeers hold a 15-6 advantage in the series.
With Zach, I would predict a W, but without Zack, all bets are off. I hope Des plays as well as in the last game and I hope Edward or Miles can give some productive minutes; it would please me if Kam could get a look-see.

ST JOHNS GAME THREAD
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: ST JOHNS GAME THREAD
Great first half. Jones, Nunge , Hunter and Craft played very well .Boum with another terrible first half. I think that is about 4 games in a row were he struggled in the first half. I think he is worn down from his minutes. We are going to be very tough to beat at home. We know how to move the ball. The ball movement tires out the other team . Forty nine points in one half is awesome .Bring the same effort second half guys.

15 points in less than 5 minutes, and X is 64 St J 35. Keep pounding and open the bench

The team is 2-0 without Freemantle. Hard to believe. Miller is the man. Great to see Craft play and do some good things. Claude is really coming on. He plays with a lot of confidence. Great day for Xavier. we are coming on. Go X

Re: ST JOHNS GAME THREAD
that was pure domination from start to finish and it was nice to be able to sit Souley, etc for extended minutes at times. i know we basically have a week off until Butler but we can't take them lightly, especially at their place.
loved Craft's confidence/no fear right when he enters the game. he has knack for knowing where offensive rebounds are going to go. him and Cesare may be pivotal in the next 3 weeks to help out Nunge, Jones, etc with minutes and to keep them fresh. Hunter just keeps plugging away as well.
St. Johns was about as awful as i've ever seen them. not sure why they didn't press at all but when you're not scoring it's hard to get into it. they forced us into some turnovers the last time we played.
