I can get behind Pride but giving a game away at the end does not make me proud. Certainly they deserve credit for fighting through adversity to be in the game but it is never acceptable to meltdown in the closing minute.
The team needs to do some soul searching around ball security and decision making.

5-5 in last 10 games does not warm my heart with pride.

I’m not sure what adversity has caused us to be careless with the ball and make bad decisions at game end.

I think with Zack in the lineup the final shot is a toss-up between Jones and Zack. I do believe if the ball gets up on the rim, Zack is not going to let it be rebounded by the opponent when he has a chance to finish. As for being careless, it is a matter of indecision, but Zack demands the ball on those occasions. Jack and Zack have the lob pass down and have few turnovers, but tonight Jack's lobs were timid and fronting Hunter with a low lob or an overthrow from Jack killed X in the second half. Go back to the first Nova game and watch how Jack and Zach connected for many points from Zack.

As I listen to the games in Spain on WKRC, I can perceive the blood, sweat and tears as the Muskies have put up the great fight during these one point losses to Marquette and Villanova. On the other hand, I understand that with a six man rotation they certainly have their backs against the wall. This situation could and hopefully will have a reverse effect as the "missing" return to action. There is no doubt in my mind that "team awareness" has been strengthened....I´ve seen similar situations not only within, but outside of basketball. This "moment" will hopefully...and I believe it will...turn them into hungry beasts of unity both in the Big East Tournament and furthur on. I believe at my old age that these kids will surge forward with fire in their bellies and courage in their souls as a result of adversity. God Bless them as they surge forward from a very difficult situation. Go getém Muskies.
