AH owes an apology to Coach Miller. Glad we didn’t play a zone!

Souley played great defense all game. Super impressed with him tonight.

Nunge played great defense all game but struggled offensively in the first half. He got it going in the 2nd to finish with good offensive stats to go along with a number of smart plays to keep the ball alive.

Jones with another great game. Kunkel and Claude both with nice games.

Nunge and Boum both missed a number of easy shots.

Xavier got away with about a half dozen travels but Nunge did not foul when he blocked Kalk and Creighton was out when they tipped the ball back in plus they traveled a couple times. Refs were essentially fairly even.

Xavier beats Creighton 3 times if Refs don't take Nunge out of the game at Creighton with BS calls.

Great win.

X beats Creighton in Omaha if Nunge doesn't get the phantom call at 15 min to play? What?? For the record, X played the next eight minutes when Nunge sat for the next 8 minutes, actually cutting the lead with Creighton. It was a 2 pt game. Boum going 1-5, Nemhard having his way with him dishing out eight assists, and Kaluma going off for 20 (something which happens when a great offensive player but horrendous defensive one guards him) is why they lost. It ain't a coincidence that it did not happen when Hunter guarded him last night.

Zach has been great for X, and I hope and believe he will have a great career overseas. But he has always be a sieve defensively. And, btw, Kalk pretty much had the same stats offensively in Omaha, when Nunge played 21 minutes, as he did last night when Jack played 30. 8-9 in Omaha, and 7-7 last night.

Creighton was smart putting Kalk on Hunter to prevent the Hi-Low, but Hunter hitting a couple of jumpers made him come out a little and not patrol the lane. Miller was brilliant in attacking after every basket, even more so than normal. The ball was across half court in about three seconds, giving Creighton little time, esp. Kalk, to set up their D. Creighton is a v. good defensive halfcourt team primarily because of Kalk, but also due to Kaluma and Nemhard as well. X's bigs also did a great job of shielding/pinning Kalk so the guards and wings could drive to the hole.

One foul had no bearing on the game in Creighton. The game was over in the first half. Miller's brilliance, and a rare night when Boum and Kunkel played exceptional D decided the outcome yest.

No zone is needed when the guys defend, especially the guards. I'm glad SM read my threads regarding D after the DP game. No zone, but through my lip-reading skills, I saw him ask the bench after 7 or 8 Creighton buckets if it was time to go zone. I texted them no. I'll provide the keys to tonight's game as well. Despite pleas from my Co-Mods, I will not change my Board name to Nostradamus. The advertisers would revolt. It's all about branding.

the name is Narcissist
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Connecticut 72. I mopped up the place and served Peppermint Schnapps to the factory guys. One guy would put down 7 shots before work which started at 7 am. Poor buggers were miserable. LOL

Lost in today's disaster was Colby Jones passing 1,000 points for his career. Congrats.

I thought he did that in the Creighton game.
