Bang, Bang, Bang, Coffin nails. This one should help the net. X dropped three spots with the win over DePaul, but this one will help. Creighton only scored 60 points, and they were telling us they were a dominant offensive and defensive team

Bottle this one and bring it to tomorrow's game.

Way to go guys. We dominated from start to finish. Nunge had a good second half. Boum played much better tonight. Marquette is going down tomorrow. Xavier loves the Garden. Go X.

Who said we can't play defense? OK I did. But we were terrific tonight on D. Great job by Miller with subs just masterful. Proud to be a Muskie. Go X beat Marquette like we beat McGuire when I was at Xavier. I hope I am not the only one who remembers that.

10 turnovers tonight so someone get's the rock but 3 guys had most turnovers with 2 apiece being Colby, Souley and Adam so break that rock up,


For those that say Souley can play D his guy scored 5 points and two were from free throws. Star of the game. 37 minutes 23 points and 6 assists

Connecticut 72. I graduated in 74. We didn't beat Marquette from at least 1968 to 1978. I looked it up. We were ahead of McGuire's #2 team at half time. Most were 20 point blow outs. LO lSorry to be the know it all. I was there though and we didn't beat them. Wish we had.

Souley played great defense all game. Super impressed with him tonight.

Nunge played great defense all game but struggled offensively in the first half. He got it going in the 2nd to finish with good offensive stats to go along with a number of smart plays to keep the ball alive.

Jones with another great game. Kunkel and Claude both with nice games.

Nunge and Boum both missed a number of easy shots.

Xavier got away with about a half dozen travels but Nunge did not foul when he blocked Kalk and Creighton was out when they tipped the ball back in plus they traveled a couple times. Refs were essentially fairly even.

Xavier beats Creighton 3 times if Refs don't take Nunge out of the game at Creighton with BS calls.

Great win.

Thanks Mr. Kevin for the correction. Maybe I confused the big night with an upset of UC. Why don't you fact check me on that? Old age is setting in and sometimes my memory is not as sharp. I do recall a big night at Dana's I thought it was Marquette but I guess I am wrong.
