Re: 1st Round game thread
Well at least St. Patrick's Day wasn't ruined. I hope we get our second wind. I think Edwards played about 2 minutes. Hope we have a lot more energy Sunday. Don't think we can get away with that kind of effort Sunday. GO X

Re: 1st Round game thread
Hunter had an amazing game. Extremely efficient.
Nunge played poorly offensively but his defense is not as bad as some of you seem to think. Guards get into the lane almost every play. If Nunge commits hard to stop the ball, no one is there to help on his guy. He does the partial commitment to stop penetration but stay close to his man. It often results in buckets over him but they are at least semi contested shots. 11 rebounds is also a nice stat - yes more is better but double digits is good.
Hopefully Xavier can find their shot for next game.
Sean should have a chat with Boum and Edwards and let them know that when they turn their back to the other team's hoop, it doesn't disappear. It is still in the same location and the other team will try to move towards it. It might help them anticipate where the offense is going to go. I know Edwards was only in for 3 minutes but he seemed surprised when the guy he was defending drove to the rim. I can only assume he didn't know the rim was behind him.
Thanks Hunter for saving the day.

It was clearly Boum missing his assignment. He picked up AKs guy leaving his guy for an easy cut to the basket.yellow20xd wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 3:34 pmIt was Boum and AK... They asked Boum during the post game presser and Boum said just they all good, just trying to get to the next game... Dan
