I think back to Jason Love, James Farr, Sean O’Mara, Tyrique Jones who all have enjoyed successful overseas professional careers. None were considered in much of the rotation for their first two years. They all got stronger and improved their skills to be factors their last two seasons. I really think Edwards could do the same. Out of high school, he was known to be a stretch 4 with some outside skills. I think he is making a mistake leaving a school that is on TV every game and in a top league.

Miles has gotten stronger and put on weight, but offensively not made big strides (FT’s!). He needs to go to a big man camp! Because of his redshirt year an Covid year, he might have three years left. He could do well in the portal as a mid-major—NKU or Miami, but he could stick around and enjoy the big time.

We don’t know much about Tucker, except what we observed in Warm-ups! Could have been recruited by Jonas Hayes to Xavier, so he might end up at Georgia State.

I doubt any one else goes in the portal. Either stay or try overseas.

Of course going into the portal does not mean they are gone for sure. KyKy was in and out.

Losing Edwards sucks. I was a big believer in the young man. Seems like all the Steele guys are bailing. Edwards lost his confidence this year and was playing tight. I think he just needed some coaching and patience. I guess Miller didn't believe in him and He went looking for some playing time. I know most of the board didn't think a lot of him. I remember Hunter was a target last year. Anyways I will miss him and hope he goes somewhere that gives him 25 minutes a night
