Bad omen...Xavier was rolling with a 2-1 lead and needing only 3 outs in the 9th inning to WIN when bad weather delayed the game. X might have to change pitchers....if the delay is too long??? a win would have put X in to the Regional Finals on Monday.....waiting to see what happens ESPN 2 was covering all the games as of 5pm

They are on central time so the local time for the game is 9:10

Still late and a really long day for them. It’s going to be a tough row to hoe.

X was finally able to get back on the field and finish the Vandy game with a win, as it went strikeout, strikeout, and groundout for Vandy in the top of the Ninth.

Unfortunately, the result from the very late starting Oregon game was not so nice. X lost 11-2 and finishes with a school record tying 39 wins for the season. Combine that with a 2nd in the regular season and a tournament 1st place finish in the BE, along with making the regional championship game for only the 3rd time in school history, and you have a VERY successful season IMO.

Congratulations to the team, coaches, and staff!

Good season, unfortunately pitching depth hurts teams like Xavier further into season. They missed their chance during the first Oregon game

Oregon just has their number six losses to Oregon this season. The bats were too quiet during the season the bats made up for suspect pitching.

Everyone thought this was Vanderbuilt's region but Oregon showed up to beat everyone. The weather delay in the first game and then another game right after didn't help.
