Tonight is Trey Green's coming out party. Hopefully, Lazar makes his cameo as well.

If you believe Miller, X has shooters. Based on game 1, that seems a reasonable assumption. Based on game 2, Miller is a liar. Sample size is too small to know but sounds like Claude has improved his shot. That should be a good thing as long as he makes good decisions - drive vs deep shot vs pass.

That spread could prove accurate but is big enough where I'd suggest putting a small amount on X covering the spread and if you want to go for some big money, min bet on X getting the win.

Low odds of X getting the win but based on last year, Purdue is moderately athletic. Their big is huge and they have shooters but shooters have off nights and bigs can get rattled when seeing help come from multiple directions. Bigs can also get into foul trouble if they try to get too physical against smaller players. X bigs should play with the mentality of let their bodies hit the floor. No flopping but if Eddy makes contact, don't fight to stay vertical.

X must apply defensive pressure and play cleanly on offense. If X shooters are hot the game should be close. This game will hopefully prepare the team for Vegas. Getting blown out would not be good preparation but losing by less than 16 would be good.

X gets first baske and holds PU scoreless in first 1 minute 50 seconds Let's call it a victory
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Claude is killing us and we are taking bad shots. Not being able to shoot threes will hurt us this year.

The moment is not too big for anyone. Impressed with their poise so far.

Wear the big guy out run, run, run. Our big guys are playing better than expected based on size differential. Quincy needs to become a scorer and glad to see Trey get two threes. If we can just get two guys a little hot. Spread the floor

If you would say that Des would have 4 turnovers and only 2 points...but X is down 8. I would not have believed it. Des doesn't look like he is letting the game come to him and Sean played Trey down the end of the half because of it.

Claude's ball security issues from last year are rearing its ugly head.

Olivari laying an egg. Inexcusable to not shade towards a wide-open shooter in the corner with the clock winding down. I hope to see Green in there instead of him much more in the 2nd. Took too many difficult threes that were standard fare at C USA. That won't fly here.

Very good effort from Xavier in the first half, Ousmane, Ciani AND Nzeh all battled Edny very well. McKnight was slow and lazy on defense. His man got at least 4 buckets. We need a big half from Claude. We shot 3-13 from the three point line. The starting guards were killing us. Green looked good and confident. I am very surprised and pleased at our first half hustle . Go X

Terrible offensive sets and having McNight and Olivari in at the same time is going to make it was too easy for the opponents offense to run. I'm just not sure we have any real playmakers.
