Joe Sunderman is a national treasure at X but has a lot of Joe Nuxhall in him as an announcer. He often announces as if the listener is also watching the game.

X is 46.7% from the lie so far tonight
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Refs had an off night, only calling 35 fouls tonight.

Nice to get a win. I like that we had 17 assists. St. Mary's shot 25% from the floor. We also had only 8 turnovers which is a lot better. On the need to improve side we gave up 20 offensive rebounds and only made 7 of 15 foul shots. Olivari shot 4-13 from the field. He needs to improve or shot less.

Mix of really good defense by X at times and ice cold shooting by Saint Mary's.

Encouraging but I wouldn't get too excited over this win. FT shooting and fouls still appear to be a problem. Ball security seems to be improving; Trey Green seems to be the only real playmaker on the team.

I wouldn't say that McKnight didn't do a good job running the team and had one more assist and more points. X's guards tonight together scored something like 24 points and 9 assists.

Olivari had a really good start, but I remember hearing him in the 2nd take shots very early in the shot clock a couple of times. Larkin mentioned one was a bad shot. His FT shooting has been abysmal after a good start too. I hope Green continues to do what he does because I trust him more than Olivari. He is the best playmaker and passer, but also takes too many risks, and is a liability on D. I am still a huge advocate, and hope he continues to get more PT.
