Tremendous job by Miller and company. I think Conwell is the 5, but it's hard to take a list seriously where Kerr Kriisa is deemed a 5. I'm so glad X dodged that bullet last year. Kriisa is a decent shooter, but can't create off the dribble, and he can't stay in front of anyone.

Des commented on USC to Jeff Borzello:
""The academic support, basketball resources and basketball vision all seemed custom-made for me. Also, Coach Musselman has a proven track record over the past several years of helping big lead guards make the jump to being NBA-ready guards."
"The vision that Coach Musselman laid out for me blends perfectly with my playmaking ability, NBA aspirations and ongoing development as a lead guard," he said. "I'm excited to make the next big jump in my development and I'm especially excited to be a part of the USC family."

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Portal time and names
I wish Des all the best, but the comment lost all credibility with "academic support," where X is in rarified air, and also Musselman's proven record, that pales in comparison to Sean's. However, that "carefully", crafted script has been sitting in his agent's file for a month. I wish Des was still at X but think the trio X brought in makes the back court considerably better cumulatively.muskieman wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 10:24 pmDes commented on USC to Jeff Borzello:

yep, Jonathan Powell, the only member of Xavier's 2024 recruiting class, has requested a release from the National Letter of Intent (NLI) he signed with the Musketeers

Well that's a tough blow. I imagine it is about playing time. I was really looking forward to seeing him play.

Re: Portal time and names
OK, so Powell backed out, but that opens another scholarship. My question is, what happens to the scholarship and also, is it possible to sign a player that entered the portal before the end time.
It looks to me like they are still listed.
Any ideas on how XU proceeds?
Thanks so much for offering me so many helpful responses.

Former UL and Florida State transfer Cam'Ron Fletcher announced that he would be transferring to play for the Musketeers.

Another good pick up by Miller. Fletcher has a ton of talent and would help us a lot if he can play this year. Good strong physical front court guy. If the front court can stay healthy I think we can win a couple games in the tournament.

X adds Boise State transfer Roddie Anderson III.. X has 6 players with multiple years left with 7 only this year
