This is a big loss but can easily be overcome with the portal. I think SM will find a happy medium. I read somewhere that Ill and Purdue have the biggest NIL budgets in the B10 at $2.5M. If so, X is even in better shape than many thought. However, I take that info with a grain of salt. Michigan and OSU have brought in some big-name transfers the last two years, and I'm sure they did not come in cheaply.
