Apparently true. This would be a huge blow to the BE IMO. And we are negotiating for a new tv deal.

I think of Cronin. No one thought he would leave, due to his close relationship with his father. Well he did indeed turn it down and is going for number three in a row. Now stay tuned for the rumors about U Conn going to one of the Power Five conferences. You heard it first here. And they might well go. The only hold back is that there football program is so bad that no conference will want it.

Great news for The Big east and good for Hurley. Not many would pick Storrs and 6 million a year over LA and 12 million a year.

You arent exactly making bold predictions. UCONN has neen looking for a spot in the high rent district since the old BE fractured. Their wretched football team makes them a financial negative to any power conference. Nobody will admit them unless they are willing to take nearly 0% of rev share.

What will likely happen at some point is these schools will wise up and create conferences for football, conferences for basketball, and then conferences for everything else combined. More money, more margin, less student travel for unprofitable sports. The major holdup would be the legal standing of their current conference agreements and media contracts. Two big hurdles, unfortunately.
