it is going yo be a short trip in the top 25 for X, if they don't start shooting better. 32% from field 10$ from the three tonight..

And the guy at ESPN men's scores must be drinking tonight because he is messing up the scores so far.

As poor as they are shooting they are still close. Now Sean has to figure out how to make them make shots.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Mman,

We're both getting what we want. Swain is "stepping up" with 8 points, and for me, all shots are labs. They should run as many plays as possible in the 2nd half to get Murray Boyles in isolation, and tried to get him to pick up his 4h. X has no answers for him. SC is also playing very aggressively on D and doubling up high, but X doesn't make them pay. I think Miller will make the adjustment.

Too many fouls not enough threes. Swain needs to step up
Swain? There is no scenario where I see Swain needing to step up offensively. The shots will fall.
Swain is 3-3 and needs to assert himself more because they don't have a way to stop Swain and Zach. I hope you are right about shots falling because Conwell seems frustrated, and the play they called for him resulted in an Offensive foul

We are a different team without Freemantle. He has got to get a lot smarter on defense. He's lucky he didn't pick up his third reaching in. Swain with his best half of the year. Conwell with a very tough first half. South Carolina's defense is bothering the guards. We need to drive and ball fake. Green and Maddox with rough first half's. Lucky their big guys had some foul trouble. Need to play some zone so Freemantle doesn't pick up another foul.

Officials were terrible both ways in the first half. They should be ashamed of themselves.

X didn't play team basketball in the first half and didn't move enough to get good looks. Bad shooting was a result of both of those factors.

Miller magic at halftime changed the course of this game. More Swain, Fremantle with Hunter rebounds and much better D. Their multi-named placed score 9 in first half and looked unstoppable but only 4 in the second

Good win and let's beat Michigan

Free dominated the game. Hunter is officially back.

Swain with a great game.

Foster did some great things but had a couple mistakes that he bounced back from nicely.

McKnight did what I believe is the mark of a competitor, turn it over, and get a steal on the next play. He put in another solid performance.

Once X started playing as a team and relaxed a bit, they played well. This was the first team that guarded at a high level beyond a few minutes to start the game. The pressure did fade eventually but SC got in X's head ruining most of the first half.

Good to get the win. This game should be good prep for the meat of the season.

I agree pdxmuskie. That's why we only had 2 assists in the first half. Conwell was a lot of the offensive problem. Freemantle and Hunter were clutch. McKnight was calm and steady too. Another hard fought win. The win was a grinder. We outrebounded them by 10. I have to admit Swain is really coming on.

Agreed. Ball movement was poor. SC had a great game plan of trapping up high, and X didn't make them pay. X turned the tables and did it to SC in the 2nd. Free and Swain put X on their backs. Tonight's game showed why Swain is a projected 1st rounder with the shooting range of CJ Anderson. He is so explosive and finishes very well in the open court and hits his free throws. His form and percentage portend well for his potential to develop a consistent jumper. He is also a very versatile defender.
