By the stats numbers , i am still tryng to figure out who X is?

Postby Xavier2005 » Tue Dec 10, 2024 11:05 am

The first several games X had 5 players scoring double digits per game. Lately, with losses, they are only having 3 players score double digits. What is more troubling is X s team stats when compared with over 300 other Division 1 teams. X is 151st in FG %. X is 221 in points scoring. and X is 262 in team rebounding. Some of these stats are not good. X was picked pre season to be 3rd in the BE and make the Dance, but these stats have to improve for that to happen.

Pretty simple, teams have been guarding them hard on perimeter forcing turnovers and bad shots. This is an easy to do when you have a small, unathletic team with only one solid big.

I totally agree with skyhooks. We are too easy to defend, and we get no easy shots close to the hoop.

The limited athletic ability is certainly contributing to the lack of offensive flow. Miller needs to figure out an offensive game plan that works for these players. He picked them from the various schools and new their strengths so he needs to know how to utilize the talents they have and minimize their weaknesses.

The team has also been sloppy. Certainly some of the turnovers are the result of the other team's defense but a lot are just sloppy play. Add that to abandoning team play, giving up on defense and missing high percentage shots and results will be embarrassing.

With the loss of Freemantel and the losses are piling up and the RPI is around 150, it will take a major miracle to make march madness. All the stats appear to be against a miracle for this year.

check out my post on Seton Hall game thread on Freemantle
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
