Turnovers
We are currently ranked 132th in turnovers a game. The last three games we lost to ranked teams by showing a lack of poise and careless turnovers at the end of games. . We easily could be 11-2 instead of 8-5 . It was a lot like Christmas by just giving the games away. At the end of games Conwell, Hunter and Swain turn the ball over with sloppy ball handling. Hunter is a heart and soul guy who gives everything he has but he should just be setting picks and rolling to the basket for offensive rebounds. Swain is just not strong with the ball and a turnover waiting to happen. Conwell lacks the speed and quickness to break down defenders and can't create a good shot on his own. I think we should keep the ball in McKnight's hands and let him drive off a high screen and pull up for his 10-12 foot mid range shot at which is is very accurate or draw the defenders in and hit Foster or Conwell in the corners for a wide open three. The only guy who can break down defenders and he strong with the ball is McKnight. For a short team we should not be turning the ball over at the rate we do. I believe the last three games we gave very good effort but we have to be a lot better with the ball at the end of games. We have to play with confidence at the end of games and be a lot more aggressive on offense

Re: Turnovers
Agree with most of this. It is really surprising that a very experienced team lacks poise down the stretch. It doesn't help when the coach blows all timeouts by the 10-minute mark every single game because something monumental happens, like someone missed a rebound.Kevin Reilly wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 4:27 pmWe are currently ranked 132th in turnovers a game.
