Re: Portal
I thought 500,000 and a Shooting coach and a personal trainer was outrageous. LOL . Shows how out of touch with the N.I.L. situation I was. For a guy who can't shoot he really can score. I doubt he would return but we could really use him. Probably would be our best player

Re: Portal
KR,
You can take the Probably out of the sentence. He would be the best player, and it ain't even close. Right now, our 4's and 5' are comprised of four players who averaged about 3.5 ppg. Let that sink in. Unless Pitino brings in a couple more studs, we may see a repeat of the 23-24 season. 80% of the top players are committed, so the window is closing. Maybe Ty Hill has a nephew who averaged 6.8 ppg at a crowded position that we can bring in?

Re: Portal
My guess he saw what Rice signed for and it pissed him off.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Portal
Who is ice?
USC brought in two very good portal guards and have a highly rated recruit-guard coming in, so I think he saw the tea leaves. Fla has reached out. I can't believe he'd go there, as they picked up that great PG from Yale. Unless he, or more importantly, his camp, sees that if he makes the league, it sure as well won't be at the point.
Again, I'd take him back in a heartbeat. The only guard I know of who scores in the lane as easily as he does is Kadary Richmond.

RICE not ice, sorry for the dropped R. Rice was a guard whom USC signed and reportedly gave $3 millionAnti-Homer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 9:51 pmWho is ice?

Another big score for STJ.

Re: Portal
St. Johns is loaded this coming year. We don't really have a PG besides Roddie either. Does our new 7 footer play PG?

Re: Portal
Would someone explain what's going on? I know the portals are closed, but are there still negotiations happening? Are we holding for some new recruits?
I believe we still had 4 slots open. I find it hard to believe there are some good players (guards) that are out there and we couldn't land a few.

Re: Portal
More than likely, Wright and Roddie will share the point situation, and while All Wright will be a shoot-first guard, I think Roddie will be the Defensive and distributor guy. I'd like RP to find a New York point guard who has the ball on a string and eyes in the back of his head and can pass the ball like Magic Johnson
St John has really reloaded and may be tougher than last year. I hope in 3-4 years from now, X is built like St Johns
