Don't forget Sept 26th Cintas
This is a free event! Doors open at 5 PM. Be sure to stay for post-game autographs!

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Julius Avent was at the Musketeer tipoff. BTW, the Blue team won 69-50, whatever that means—sparse crowd. I wonder if White will run Gassers? Richard said he was old school.
Xavier Blue : Filip Borovicanin, Malik Messina-Moore, Anthony Robinson, Trey Carroll, Jovan Milicevic, Henry Thole
Xavier White: Pape N'Diaye, Kason Westphal, Roddie Anderson, Isaiah Walker, Ian Sabourin
Anyone like to contribute or comment?

What happened to Allwright. I heard he was not playing?

Both Panoam (surgery) and All Wright (injured in practice but just a ding) did not play in the tipoff. 7-foot-3 center Symon Ghai, and as reported in another thread, Julius Avent were there. I was told a very different first look with no smoke and no introductions. Additionally, a significant difference is that the pack line D is no longer in effect, and ball pressure funneling play to the rim protectors has resulted in blocked shots. Theme of the night: blocks and dunks, with Robinson standing out with multiple dunks, some from lobs, and he had multiple blocks as a rim protector.
I am sure someone else has a better review of last night. I always like the big guys, and Robinson, and Pape N'Diaye (Pape will be the name going forward) had their moments. Pape had a three-pointer and a nice finger roll. Tre Caroll is the team hustle guy and can rebound. We will see how he performs against opponents and in the BE competition.
Filip Borovicanin is a decent defender and may be the pick-and-roll guy; we will see. Also, he is going to be Flip because these names are too hard to type every time, and I forget the first i most of the time.
We need some of you guys to give us nicknames for these players...some are obvious, like Trey, Flip, but we need to get in-season shape with all the new names. Jovan Milicevic maybe "Soft touch", Robinson Mr Thunder. Just saying.

Re: Don't forget Sept 26th Cintas
I wasn't there, but my guess is that it was a sparse crowd because it was so far ahead of the tip to the season.
I also kind of like the no fanfare - just get to work. As a lifelong fan, I always thought the opening scrimmage was kind of boring and dull. But whatever.
We all know the place will be packed when it matters.
