Santa Clara Broncos game thread
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Myself and Skyhops Jr had a $5 bud light and I think it was about 10 oz's in a plastic water cup, so the President must have extended her money grab to the concession stand and no tshirt or koozie. I can't imagine we win this game from what I've seen at the last two. We have to figure out a way to get Robinson involved on some lobs. A veteran coach will dice up our defense. We will get better.

First, I'm genuinely sorry for the negative experience you and Jr. had. Please feel free to stop by the Moderator's Suite tomorrow night between 7:00 and 7:10. We'll be serving the highly coveted Bagel Bites at that time.
As for the game, Santa Clara is always a solid mid-major and seems to have done well in the portal. They are a guard-heavy team that lives on the perimeter, with half their shots coming from deep. This is concerning, given X's struggles in perimeter defense. While their team's three-point percentage is average (33%), one of their guards shoots a scorching 50%.
The good news? X should have a height advantage, and hopefully, Robinson can give X a strong presence in the post and clean up his defensive lapses. I also want to see Carrol and Filip post down low when Milievic is in the game. Santa Clara also shoots poorly from the line (58%), which could be a factor in a tight game.
I'm sensing a breakout game for X's offense, especially in transition, and a good performance from Robinson (law of averages!).
Prediction: After 10,000 simulations with my patented algorithm, the score is Xavier 81, Broncos 77.

Thanks AH, Skyhops Jr's pallet is not so developed, so Bagel Bites are caviar to him. Let's us know when you are serving Pizza rolls and 40's. I hope you are correct in your prediction, but I did notice they were a perimeter team which is concerning considering our constant switching last game and open 3's.

Skyhops family... I hope I'm wrong but you probably need at least a couple beers to watch the game. My advice is crash the Moderators Suite early and refuse to leave. I'm betting the snacks run closer to Brisket and Lobster. Enjoy the game and stay thirsty.

Hi to all loyal Muskie fans. My only comment at this point is it is so sad to see a once very proud and respected program reduced to this. SAD.

Decided to play pickleball glad I did. Good coaches will shred this team on offense. Bigs are awful

AH according to my sources was correct about over 5 mill we are paying for this garbage. I was all for Richard, but how are our bigs so bad defensively? Robinson is always out of position. Moore no shots? Embarrassing.

Assessment of the 1st Half - Reminiscent of watching DePaul play during Oliver Purnell’s Coaching tenure.

And the second half has confirmed your comment. The team is so loose with the ball, and the shots are either too hard or not hard enough.ChitownSteve wrote: ↑Mon Nov 10, 2025 10:02 pmAssessment of the 1st Half - Reminiscent of watching DePaul play during Oliver Purnell’s Coaching tenure.
Richard said before the game that it is a work in progress....which means don't get mad at me I'm not out on the floor.
Santa Clara shooting 69%
