SC just keeps winning the one-on-one game, and they have almost everyone who can score the ball. Even when they throw up garbage, it seems to go in.

I really hate to post this but

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Robinson played 27 minutes and got 4 points and 1 rebound. Wright played 20 minutes and didn't score and Moore played 21 minutes and didn't score. We got outrebounded again 42-33. I think to cut to the chase we don't have a lot of talent. Looks like a long season ahead.

I don't know what the rules are now, but when I was a regular at practice during Skip's reign, there would be a five-hour practice after a game like this (and there were never any that bad), and the bubble would be on the rim, and they would play "perfect play", or the clock would restart.

Two guys score 50 points of the 68 points, and our leading scorer gets a big 0fer.

This year is a lost cause and I think we knew that coming in.How bad will it get? Thats whats scary. It could get worse. This might be the worst team we've had since Tay Baker was coach. The question is can we be hopeful that the future will be better?

It was certainly a challenge to watch... On to the next one... Dan

this team is going to be tough to root for/get behind. there is no endearing quality to them right now that I see that makes me want to go and cheer them on or watch them play. we've had teams that struggled to score/lacked shooters/etc in the past and that's fine. I can handle that. but to couple that with essentially NOT guarding at all or even FIGHTING to rebound/grab loose balls/etc, that makes it so frustrating to watch, and personally, I don't wanna bury myself in that negativity. I guess I should just tell myself "this is how it is going to be this season" and maybe that will help, but being in a program that is used to winning, it doesn't help at all. there have been teams in the past that haven't won that much, 2018-2019 team went 19-16. but they had dudes I could root for - Tyrique, Naji, Scruggs, Hankins was the newcomer that provided a spark. 2012-2013 went 17-14. I could root for Redford, D Davis, Semaj, etc. they battled. they weren't "great" but they battled. I just don't see these guys doing that. offense they take bad/selfish/rushed shots at times and then even when we get GOOD looks we can't score/finish. and then we literally just didn't guard a soul last night. no one could stay in front of anyone. every 50/50 rebound was theirs. that's just NOT Xavier Basketball and I can't get behind it.

unless we play someone completely awful, i'm gonna bet the ML on Xavier's opponent and then roll half of it onto the next one. at least I can build a big bankroll from them.

we may not win a game in the Big East and I am NOT exaggerating on that at all.

We did find out, and I hope Anderson found out that he needs to keep driving the ball and drawing fouls. Tre and Roddie did assert themselves, but Anderson needs to do it from the start.

Boro, Mili, Moore, and Al Wright were all wrong last night and need to be better. Roberston and Papa need to be the big men and not a body out on the floor. X could not handle the plus-seven-footer Oboye, and that does not bode well against the Bearcats ' seven-plus-footer Thiam and their 6'11" guys.

I hope our big guys are doing the Bad pass drill all week because it becomes frustrating watching them muff passes into the post or getting it taken away when they catch it. You can't do much about Boro's slow feet but Robinson has an NBA body and should try playing a physical game.

Agree with the comments. I still can fathom Robinson having only 1 board in 27 mins. One of my sources said he had skillets for hands and they might be too kind. Our offense will be a mess at least until Pozzato comes back, but we should still be able to defend and his system is not that complicated. Switching on every screen is almost as lazy. It seems like we got stuck with the wrong players from New Mexico. That was 250k wasted bringing in Santa Clara

Watching the replay with the 9,830 in attendance has me worried. Lower bowl empty rows on TV were as bad as I have ever seen them to start the game. With ten minutes, it appears the student leaving, as well as other fans, told the tale of the game. In the last 3 minutes, it looked like a women's game for X with about 50-60 people still on the TV screen, and the sounds were mainly from the SC bench. Heck, Schmidt Fieldhouse didn't look as empty in the 60s and 70s. Maybe the Corporate seats will be like that this year

Not a good look.

What is driving me crazy is we spent between 5-6 million dollars on N.I.L. funds yet we have the worst roster we have had in 30 years? Doesn't make any sense. Do we have a GM to manage the N.I.L. money. Something is way out of whack.
