Clifton Community College (CCC) clearly has more size, and a lot more talent on their team with 2-3 pros, and they blew their NIL wad this year with a $10M+ roster. X has a decided advantage in coaching, as well as shooting, but this is CCC's Superbowl, and they haven't won at Cintas in 25 years, so law of averages says they win this one.
More analysis to come later on this week, as I'm busy vetting nominees for the Fields Medal at the moment, which is one of 38 activities I moderate in addition to MM.

Re: Cross Town Shootout - Catholics Vs Convicts
not really sure that we can implement the Catholics vs Convicts mantra here anymore, seeing as how that was a Notre Dame/Miami slogan for their games in the late 80's early 90's. it probably applied to us in the Huggins era a bit, but I think we are past that now.
either way, i'm sure we've gone from two and a half weeks ago being double digit dogs in this game to now being favored by a couple.
amazing how things change in just a few games, and really both teams going in the opposite direction from where they started.
I watched most of that UC vs E Mich game last week and man did they just look BAD. I hope that's the version we get vs. X. or the first half version vs the Goliath killer known as Tarleton St., where they only led by 2 at half.
when it comes down to it, we have to do two things really well - defend without fouling and shoot the 3 well. i'm not saying we need to shoot 45-50% from 3 but we just can't go sub 30% and expect to win.
really looking forward to this game/atmosphere WAY MORE than I was 2 weeks ago.
