Pick up Thiam from UC with two years left. Wouldn’t need to move too far! The Freshman redshirt would be the backup for two years to develop.
Of course the 7’9” guy from Florida would be a nice, two years to develop project as well.
OKAY time to build a roster for next year.

Nwoko from LSU is close to committing and possibly a guard from Cal.

Nwoko is not in the portal yet, but it is said to be a fait accompli; all the I's and Ts are not dotted and crossed yet, but looking good. Are you thinking, Ames, Sky?
Pape is in the portal
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

.
The 6-10 junior averaged 13.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season. Previous stops at Miami and Mississippi State. Represented by @lamfsports

The pending Nwoko signing will be more than ample evidence of how much X's NIL is this year. His fee is 2x more than any X player from last year.
I don't have much interest in Tru Washington at this point. He's solid, but the only sharp shooter in the starting lineup can't be the foul prone 4 man. They need guys who can shoot at the PG and 2 or 3 position, since Gabe can play either. Nwoko is an traditional big. He scores from 8 feet and in.

Picking up Mike Nwoko 6-10 center from LSU is huge. I would love to have Tru Washington from Miami too. A 6 foot 4 guard who plays defense. Is Pippen the guard from Cal who we are after. Exciting start to the portal.

Re: OKAY time to build a roster for next year.
There are only 5,607 Division I players; more than half of the players (2,901) are in the portal as of tonight.
Xavier is in the hunt for about three guards and maybe a few more.
While they may have snagged Nwoko, they are still after another big man, especially after Pape is in the portal. Nwoko profiles as a high-major interior scorer with elite efficiency and ability to score, he also has decent defensive metrics against other SEC quality competition. He showed improvement from his first to his second year.
Because this is called a dead period and there are no on-campus visits, it may still not preclude another player from deciding. Seems like the agents do most of the deciding for some players. Nwoko had a do not contact on his portal information.
I am sure we might all like Tru Washington and see a connection with Richard, but UCLA, Louisville and that team called texas are or may be in the mix, and the YTG is asking for 5 million more of the dollars they have allocated for NILs.
