Muskieman no I don't want players looking to pad their stats. The bonus comment was just me being ridiculous. I don't know why I care how much players make except it effects the rest of the roster. Might make sense to hire some Bengal Front Office guys. Or better yet the bengals should hire me LOL
I hope you look at my scouting reports on each player. Not just my work, but also some decent sources.
First one up is Michael Nwogo

I enjoyed your alluding to the Bengals, which made me laugh. I guess we will know how well the money was well spent by next MARCH, and I hope we all think the players were a steal
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I just saw Flory Bidunga ( center ) the #1 transfer prospect from Kansas has signed with Louisville for 2.1 million . I am not sure if that is correct but that's what on3 the basketball site is reporting.

Muskieman I do read your scouting reports and as many other sites as I can find. The Transfer Portal is a lot like the NFL draft. Pretty much a crap shoot. I have read that 8 freshman Five Stars from last year are already in the Transfer Portal. All kinds of things effect the comfort level of new players. Playing time, advisors and parents , the system they are coming into, learning to play defense and taking hard coaching among other factors

Anti-homer I know you are a big Milicevic fan and the young man can shoot the three with the best of them. But I think it's fair to point out he and the team were terrible on defense. I think we finished 332 in defense. Yes Moore and Wright were terrible on defense and the the team never learned how to defend the pick and roll but Milicevic doesn't know how to hedge when there is a high pick. All players have strengths and weaknesses but Milicevic is slow, can't jump, has short arms and doesn't anticipate very well. I'm not sure he will defend any better at the power four position. We all see the game differently and I'm sure I am a little to high on Anderson. LOL Milicevic's defense was the worst I've seen on a Xavier big man since Freemantle's first two years
No question Milicevic was awful on D, but again, if X had Tyrique Jones guarding wings, he would have looked awful too. I expect him to be subpar even at the 4, but don't forget, th most prolific offensive player at X along with David West and J Crawford, Bluiett, was the worst defender in the previous decade. He just happened to be a top 5 shooter in cbb during his time.

I'm not suggesting Millicevic is as good a shooter as Bluiett, but he will be a top ten shooting big in cbb next year. However, with the depth pieces X is amassing (and they're still reaching out to starters at very position), Pitino will have a quick hook if he doesn't hold up to his own.

Anti-homer it didn't seem right to me either but that's what On3 reported. I know Louisville spent a lot on N.I.L. last year. Either way I am happy we have Nwoko.

Chance Westry seems to be our best option in the short term. Will need another guard as well especially on the defensive end.

Rolyns Aligbe from Southern Illinois could be next. A 6'9" defensive oriented big that can rebound.
