Based on Joe & Byron's comments, X is--
(1) playing good D;
(2) rebounding well;
(3) forcing turnovers;
(4) turning it over too much themselves;
(5) not getting to the line enough, and not hitting them when they get there; and
(6) not really shooting well from the perimeter.
This is a classic first game, especially with a lot of new players.
