We need (1) a healthy Jackson in the short term, and (2) a healthy Holloway in the long term.

I'm afraid to even wish for Crawford.

No need to wish for Crawford...it would take a miracle.

I think Jackson will be alright but they need to make sure he is properly hydrated because he is going to play a lot of minutes..

Interesting that X beats Missouri, VTec and Memphis and gets to 20 but beats Miami and they jump to 14, like I said some of these guys just o with you they know.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

I don't think a lot of the voters (Coaches) knew at vote time that we had beaten Memphis (a Sunday night game) but were impressed enough with the Mizzu and VaTech win to slot us at #20. This vote time they were aware of the Memphis win, and a win against a rival that had already gone toe to toe with UCLA.

i very glad the coaches are giving respect.

also,, i may not like Dayton but i am very glad to see another team from A-10 is getting some love. they are looking at #27/29 and only can go higher after they win 6 more games until they play some one decent. with their lack of schedule they will have a good record.

<<..until they (UD) play someone decent.>>

I'd saying knocking off a ranked Marquette team by 14 counts as "decent", but I'll grant you that the rest of their schedule so far is underwhelming. They did beat the same Auburn team we play Wednesday.

yeah and that should give us a feel of where we stand with dayton after wednesday. when we putt a butt kicking on them it was make dayton think a little more heavily on whats coming after them in February. with a healthy team

I'd be surprised if X "put a butt kickin" on anyone until the pg situation stabilizes. I'll take a couple of w's no matter what the score the next 2 games and hope TH is back at practice in time for the Bearcats.

I'm glad we moved up a couple of spots, but I'm really having a hard time putting any stock whatsoever in the polls right now. Somehow Purdue lost a game (albeit to a good Oklahoma team) and managed to move UP a spot in the AP poll. Also, the pollsters didn't give much love to Dayton, not putting them in either Top 25 and dropping Marquette about 11 spots in both polls. I think UD, at 6-0 and with a double-digit victory against the previously 14th-ranked team, deserves to be in the Top 25 right now.

On the other hand, I can see Dayton doing what they usually do this year. They will tear up the non-conference portion of their schedule, win a lot of games against crappy/mediocre teams at home, be about 10-2 going into A10 play, and then and then go 9-7 in the A10 (with 2 or 3 losses to us) and go to the NIT.
