Tribute to Skip Prosser
I have not been at every home game this year so correct me if I missed this but has Xavier University paid an appropriate tribute to Coach Skip Prosser. If not, does anyone have any insight as to whether this will happen. At the very least, his name should appear next to all the players who's number has been retired and some recognition paid to Nancy and his two grown sons.

I don't know about all of that, but I think I remember a moment of silence before one of the games this year.XU80 wrote:I have not been at every home game this year so correct me if I missed this but has Xavier University paid an appropriate tribute to Coach Skip Prosser. Plus, they hosted his Memorial Mass...I think they did their part.

Re: Tribute to Skip Prosser
Drudy23, all due respect, but Skip is one of the reasons our program is what it is today and a remembrance in the building is worthy of his impact to our program. Certainly as much as any player that came through Xavier given his years as an assistant and head coach.

They did have a small tribute and moment of silence before the first game. Also talk of a 10 game series with Wake as a tribute to Skip.I'm sure something more will be done.

Also, at every home game, before the team is announced, they have that chronological highlight video of Xavier highlights of past years and the present one. they have a nice picture of Skip coaching in that video. so, he does get a little "tribute" every game.

Re: Tribute to Skip Prosser
Xavier and Wake are working or finished working on a 10 years deal to honor Skip.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Great to hear about the 10 year plan to play Wake. It would be a fitting tribute but I still hope a few big donors push to get his name up next to Byron and crew. Skip was the spirit of XU and belongs on the wall at the Cintas with some of the great players!!

I am not incredibly knowledgable about all this. However, I know other teams have their courts named, separately from the naming of the arena.
What about Skip Prosser Court at Cintas Center?

Because I hate to see it changed to Sean Miller court someday. How about a statue maybe in the concourse or entry? Then again that might be saved for that super player yet to come.DoubleD86 wrote:I am not incredibly knowledgable about all this.
