Is Xavier overrated?

Do we really think that X could beat Kansas, UCLA, GTown or even Louisville? I guess we will find out soon but I have a bad feeling that we are going to get a great seed and be knocked out fast. I think Xavier is much better off being the underdog. I just don't think Xavier really can hang with the UCLA's and the Kansas's. I hope I am wrong but when Xavier struggles against the A-10 I just don't see how they can beat the tip tier teams.

Everyone struggles in their own conference....did you not see North Carolina barely beat a Virginia team X crushed? Did you not see Kentucky (without Patterson) almost beat Tennessee at Tenn? UAB vs. Memphis, Miami, FL. vs. Duke....the list goes on.....Xavier can beat anyone, but if they don't show up ready to play, they can lose to almost anyone

Well, as the seedings sit right now, we would not have to play any of those teams until the second weekend at least, so an early loss would be odd (against not one of those "big" teams.
With Drew, this team can beat anyone. Without him, who knows? Remember, though, we had Tenn beat until the last 90 seconds.

I have to admit that I have the same thoughts sometimes that X will get bounced by some team in the second round of the NCAA that they should beat. BUT, I do think with Drew in the game, we can beat anyone. We proved all year that we're as good as anyone.
I actually think the A10 is better than people give it credit for. Teams in other leagues beat up on each other and its fine. Our league does it and everyone drops to bubble status.

kzoox, I agree that it all depends on Drew. He is a great player when he is healthy. Without him healthy it is a crap shoot at best. With him we can beat anyone (note I did not say we WOULD beat anyone, only that we CAN beat anyone).
Lets get the Novenas out for a healthy Drew. (Do Novenas still exist? Do they work?)

When we are healthy we can compete with anyone.Lets not forget what we did to K.State and they beat Kansas.I hope people don't fall back into thinking we can't beat the big name schools just because we haven't played as well lately.Everyone has their ups and downs at this time of year. But if Drew is not playing pretty close to his top form by tourney time I will be worried.Stan has done a good job at point but we can't be short handed if we want to make a serious run.

Xavier beat Kansas State by 30 on a semi-neutral court and Kansas State beat Kansas.
Dayton beat Louisville at Louisville. For that matter, UC beat Louisville at Louisville.
X had Tennessee on the ropes with less than 3 minutes left in the game and could have won but for some very sloppy passing at the end. I'm not into moral victories but X showed they can play with, and beat, one of the top teams in the country.
I watched the UCLA game yesterday. Good team. Love is very good. But Xavier can beat UCLA.

I've been wanting to post something like this for a while now... but I didn't want to bring the bad vibes I've been getting to the board. But since this is here now...
I really get the felling X is going to lose in the second round.

Great first post about your "bad vibes" that X is going to lose in the second round. How are your vibes re: the stock market and the Reds this year? Any vibes on the presidential election?

Many thought we could not beat Texas in the sweet 16.
