From XU:

Xavier University has announced that the men’s basketball game against Richmond will be played as scheduled at 7 p.m. tonight at Cintas Center. “Senior Day” festivities will begin at 6:45 p.m.

“Both teams and the officials are in town,” said Xavier University Associate Vice President and Athletic Director Mike Bobinski. “The league wants us to play the game. Our campus personnel have done a great job clearing the parking areas around Cintas Center, although there will understandably be some additional challenges due to the amount of snow. We ask you to be patient and arrive extra early.

“We urge everyone that wants to attend the game to use extreme caution and leave much earlier for the game than usual. Fortunately, for those who cannot or don’t want to venture out the game will be broadcast on both our television partner, FSN Ohio, and our radio partner, 700-WLW.”

The snow is over...4 hours of removal prior to tip in addition to the seemingly decent job they have already done. No excuses. Butts in seats!!!

If the 3 referees are held up by weather, we will need 3 unbiased vounteers from MUSKETEER MADNESS web site, NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, INSTANT A10 CERTIFICATION! :geek:

I vote for muskieman! Nobody has earned it like him. Even if they are there I know he will be there to help them as usual.

We will be using the muskiewife's Tank tonight. It goes through pretty much anything and the Mrs. is so far scheduled to go. It will be the first game since she was released from the hospital, heart monitor and all.

Unfortunately some of us are a couple hours away and will be wasting tickets tonight due to this snow. No way we can travel down there, even if the snow has stopped in some parts. Even close by, I'm hearing that the roads are pretty bad. I'm disappointed in the Athletic Office for playing this game in a Level 2/3 Snow Emergency and I feel for the Seniors who will have a lackluster fan base to cheer them on and out.

Some people will not show up but the road emergencies will be over before game time. Roads down here in NKY are already decent even the side roads and the sun is starting to shine a little. I would expect at least 8,000 or more considering they had over 6,000 for the Duquesne game and the roads were 10 times worse then with all the ice and the roads were completely covered at game time.
