Stanford fiasco

Postby Mikey22 » Wed Dec 29, 2010 2:03 pm

Well, this time not only did Coach McGuff play his worst player big minutes, she went 2 for 11 with 1 assist during those minutes - similar to Duke performance. How does a nationally ranked team get to a major game so totally unprepared with so much at stake. This team, with so much talent, plays with so little energy - even the bench seems comatose - that one begins to wonder whether the players are committed to winning at all. Wanninger should play more - at least she hustles - and the coaching staff needs to be able to adjust "during the game" before things get out of hand. Recruiting talented players is not enough - those players need to be able to work together and "for each other" in order to succeed - in other words, "learn to be a team."

Stanford defeats UCONN, 71-59.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
