Miller still on IU's list?

Lot of talk on Indiana's site tonight about Miller now being the #1 choice. There is a lot of unrest in Bloomington with players leaving, suspensions, etc. What are the chances Miller is interested in IU?

I really don't think there is any interest on Miller's part. He told our AD that he wasn't going anywhere, and he told the media after the UCLA game he was staying at Xavier.

He is about to get another salary increase, reportedly at around 1.4 million which would make him easily the highest paid coach in the A-10.

Most of think Miller will be at Xavier for a long time, or possibly until the Pitt job opens up.

He has no interest, never has had. Will be at Xavier even if the Pttt job comes open. This is trning out to be a pretty damn good job for Sean.

Getting paid at Xavier close to what the top BCS schools pay is a homerun for Sean. Looks like X is really stepping to the plate and really knows what they have with Sean. As soon as I get some extra money it's going to the All for One club.

For what it's worth, last week on Kornheiser's radio show, Jay Bilas said that IU's AD was "incompetent" and that he wouldn't work for him.

Potential hires may have the same feeling, so IU might have trouble filling this spot than we might think. Throw in possible NCAA sanctions, and the IU job is less attractive than it's been in 30 years. Still attractive, but just less attractive.

IU's AD is incompetent and the basketball team is quickly blowing up. This morning it was confirmed that two starting guards, Armon Bassett and Jamarcus Ellis have been dismissed from the team. http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a ... /804010342 The way things are going for IU, they can cross off everyone on the first couple of tiers of their wish list. IU will have no returning starters (assuming Gordon turns pro) and their best recruits are asking out of their LOI's. I don't think we have any reason to worry about Miller leaving for IU, and as Q noted, X has turned out to be a pretty good job for Sean. I still think he would probably leave if Pitt opened up, but that could change with the way he is building the program.

What the heck is going on at IU? It will be interesting to see who they get to come in and clean up that mess.

It's amazing how fast a very good program can fall. It will take UC some time to get back to any resemblance (in terms of consistently in the top 30) of the program they were.

The same may be true for Indiana. Players have left. More players are talking about leaving. Players getting kicked off the team by the Interem coach. It's a very, very ugly place over there right now. That program is in a true tailspin right now.
