Another funny man bites the dust.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Blazing Saddles remains one of the funniest movies of all time, and Korman was a big part of that.
The only confirmed screen name banned for life on Xavier Hoops!

Still one of my all-time favorites. The campfire scene and resurrection of Alex Karas career for slapping a horse--BTW, whatever happened to Art Long?-- "Mongo like Sheriff Bart"-- are classics. Harvey and Mel Brooks were both masters of the old double take as was the late Clevon Little.
RIP Headley.

Re: Another funny man bites the dust.
Goodbye, Funny Man.
Harvey Korman was that- personified.
Of course, everyone of our age and ilk remembers the Carol Burnett Show and how Korman would crack up, as would everyone else, during a skit. The story behind the story is that Tim Conway, a Cleveland guy as are many other famous comics, was a chief writer on that show besides being a performer. Conway would write a sketch and they would rehearse it, but just for fun, he'd re-write Korman's lines before the final show take. The cue cards would come up with some other off the wall joke line than originally rehearsed, and Korman couldn't keep from laughing while he was trying to perform. The laughter was not faked and the audience would join in the chuckles. Sometimes it was all Korman could do to keep the damn sketch on track. Conway is a piece of work himself and a lot funnier than many give him credit for.
