on a side note with Umass in the 41 to 50 here are other A-10 schools on the list.

Atlantic 10
T-57. Saint Joseph's
T-65. Richmond
73. Charlotte
123. George Washington
T-132. La Salle
T-134. Rhode Island
T-148. Saint Louis
T-168. Dayton
T-214. Fordham
T-278. St. Bonaventure
293. Duquesne
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

A few comments about this list:
1. Dayton is 168. With the way things are computed now, we are probably in the top 30. Dayton fans, get back.

2. Temple, Xavier, UMass are the three A-10 teams in the top 50. Temple can thank John Cheney, Umass John Calapari, Xavier can thank tradition. When you look at the final A-10 listings on here, you will see that we are by far the class of the A-10.

3. 13 Big 6 Schools below 150. This really is not that surprising. Figure that every Big 6 conference has 2 bottom dwellers. The A-10 has 4 below the 150 mark, 2 of which (Bonaventure and Fordham) we should kick out of our conference. This obviously makes the A-10 better as a conference.

4. Butler, Wisconsin, Pitt in the 41-50 range. This makes sense because these 3 all have just sprung onto the college basketball forefront.

5. I can't wait for the next few regions.

31-40 just came out and we aren't on that as well. I'm thinking #20 overall. Anything top 25 and I'll be pleased.

I ended up with 167, which puts us well ahead of # 41 LSU which had 93 points. 167 should be within at least a couple points of the score they come up with, so I think we should be safely inside the top 25 with a score like that.
Zags and XU should be very, very close (I have GU at 159, with all but a couple of points coming post '94).

Hey Muskie Cinci,
I did the math and we should be well over 167...I came up with 203 total...Here is the break down:

2 Elite 8 Loss X10 = 20
Best W/L in Conf Reg Season 12 X5 = 60
30 win season = 5
Sweet 16 Loss = 5
Conference Tourney Title 9 X 3 = 27
AP 1st Team All American = 3 (David West 2003)
Losing in NCAA 2nd round 7X3 = 21
Top 10 NBA Draft Pick = 2 ( Brian Grant 8th overall )
NCAA Win as a 12-16 seed 2 X 2 = 4
AP 2nd Team All American = 2 ( David West 2002)
20-29 wins...18 X 2 = 36
17 NCAA Tourneys = 17
3 NIT's = 3
AP 3rd Team All American = 1 (Byron Larkin 1988)
Losing Season = -3

Total : 203

Any chance you can put the math down here. I did it off the top of my head and came up with 175. Clearly the media guide is a better source - just curious where I am off 8 points. Thanks.

GoZags,

That list is not completely accurate. Virginia came in at 70. The team in the top 30 that will shock everyone is Murray State out of the Ohio Valley. They have not come in yet from anything I have seen and have a very impressive, under the radar resume.
