All you puppies never knew him, but XU had a great professor of Logic in my (and we elderly) time names Oscar LaPlante, S.J.
This one's for him.
Wednedsday the NCAA Infractions committee suspended the starting guard at UT (Texas) from UT's opening game after discovering he played eleven games as a professional in Turkey before coming to UT.
"We suspended him on a one game for one game basis. He played eleven games as a pro, but since he missed UT's last ten games of the 2007-08 season due to an injury, we counted those games as part of the suspension," said the NCAA.
Thus, the "suspension" is really for one game. 11=1.

Re: You Gotta Love Their Logic
This might make one think that there was a different standard for BCS schools.

Re: You Gotta Love Their Logic
I didn't come up with a BCS/non-BCS conclusion, but the logic itself seems a little shaky. If you can avoid suspensions by counting time off for injury, that seems to open up a whole new can of worms.

Will the player get another year for the injury?
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Listening to what the NCAA has done over the years it is not just their Math that is "Fuzzy"

While they have time to deny Ben Mauk 6 times, and are still reviewing Reggie Bush's USC antics. It does seem as if there are two standards, ine for the BCS, and one for the non-BCS.

Anyone who even thinks there is not a bias with the NC2A when it comes to BCS vs non-BCS penalties is just flat out living in another world.
Check out latest punishments handed out to TSU and CSU and any BCS school of the last ten years.
You're right ... they know who has the gold, and dem with the gold rules.
