Re: Toledo Second half
Not much happening. X has held its 17-pt. halftime lead, and you suspect that the teams will pretty much trade baskets the rest of the way.

52-39 now. Hope this isn't the Findlay game all over again.

Betting on X today would have cost you but there were moments of brilliance , however...
We will have a better sense APR (after Puerto Rico).

Yep, X had stretches of excellent basketball----and stretches of not-so-excellent basketball. The turnovers and FT shooting continue to plague X, and our guards are getting used to our frontcourt players and vice versa.
This team will be a work in progress for a while.

Agreed. This will be a work in progress with so many freshman getting playing time. Holloway looked very good compared to last game, while Frease didn't play as well. We're going to have those ups and downs for awhile. Regardless, this is going to be an exciting team to watch develop over the rest of the season.
Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

Impressed with Holloway and Jackson's protection of the rock and wondered about Brown and Cj's lack of protection. I understand Brown having a bad ankle which might be a reason.
BJ was perfect from the 3's and really took on the role of leader in tonight's game.
Kent was unconscious most of the game but in the end cooled off.

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Re: Toledo Second half
Really liked seeing BJ pump fake on the 3 and drive to the hoop. He's going to get a handful of free points that way. Have to keep reminding myself Kenny is a frosh, he's going to be absolutely dominant with some experience. It's been quite a while since X had a true 5. Holloway continues to gain confidence w/ the ball in his hands.
Derrick didn't seem 100% and wouldn't have minded if his minutes would have reflected that tonight. He seemed closer than he was Friday and hopefully that progression continues.

Re: Toledo Second half
Keep in mind we've played two teams (at home) that likely won't sniff the NCAA tourney. The bigger tests start on Thursday.
