Yes, X was a 3 seed when we beat Troy State 71-59 in the 1st round, before losing to Maryland 77-64 in the 2nd round.

It would be tough to get to the final 4 with Carolina and UCLA in our Region. I am glad this isn't real.

Its going to be tough to get past any round against teams with depth and solid coaching. but consider, the Muskies do best against higher seeds who never play us. We have a great team this year "lots of weapons", good D. We've played enough teams with better athletes to know how to match up. If the 3 is going in, we can beat anyone. If it's not, we still got some D and some luck.

I would rather play UCLA or Kansas than have a rematch with Tenn or Indiana, who cares what the seed is. And I sure would like to have a shot at playing in Detroit in the Sweet 16, Muskie fans would be there in droves. Oh and my brother already has tix there.

Go Muskies.

I have bad memories of X playing an NCAA game in Detroit, Carlos. I risked my life driving through an ice storm to get to Detroit, and then got to watch UCLA take us apart. If I hadn't hooked up with a good buddy I hadn't seen for years and gotten really hammered, the trip would have been a total waste!

I still have nightmares about the Maryland-Wilmington game. If not for Drew Nicholas, Xavier could have easily had at worst back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances.

You Chicago wussies dont know how to drive in the snow, Mr. N.
No need to fear Detroit.

My brother had a box at the Palace back then, and we had catered food, it was a nice setoff to the UCLA loss. We just didn't have enough talent that year, despite Braggs' heroics.

This year's regional, and next year for the Final 4, the games are at Ford Field, downtown. If you bring your passport, you can stay over in Widsor, gambling and strip bars, as well as casinos in downtown detroit. No sports books. Yes, its safe you wussies.
