With Holloway out I was really hoping that Crawford was going to be given the go.
I was told that Xavier is 99% sure that he will not be able to play this year.
Has anyone else heard something different?
Crawford?

Re: Crawford?
Is Holloway injured for the season? I hadn't heard anything about him.

Re: Crawford?
Holloway is out 2-4 weeks with a stress fracture in his foot. Hopefully he will be ready for the Duke game. As for Crawford, I dont see him playing this year.

Re: Crawford?
Brad Johansen reported Tuesday night on channel 12 that Crawford will be declared ineligible sometime early (Mon or Tues?) this coming week.
He's been all over it. Glad a guy calling Xavier games is digging deep for info and calling around to get the scoop.

Re: Crawford?
I think that the TV announcer on the Miami game today said he was turned down but there was one more committee appeal pending but it was unlikely to succeed.
If I understood he said Holloway could play if it was a critical game but makes a lot more sense to not take a chance and have him ready for conference play. He said they usually just feel like a bruise and that likely he could have been playing with it in PR not knowing that it was more than a bruise.

It's just what somebody thinks ...

Re: Crawford?
Johanssen was the TV guy Saturday who said he'd reported Crawford had been turned down, and he also did a pretty good job of explaining that indeed he could play in a critical game given the proper taping and care.

OK am I the only idiot that is holding out the last .000000001% chance that Crawford is declared eligible? (yes I am). Any one heard anything? They were supposed to hear something today?

Re: Crawford?
No your not Detroit. I am a holdout idiot too.
I have been working on three seperate papers for the last two weeks. I take a break every 5-15 minutes and check here for a Crawford update - to no avail. I also news.google him a couple of times a day to see if I can be the bearer of good (or bad) news.

I'm Idiot #3 who also is hoping against hope that Crawford can play this year. It's probably an unrealistic hope, but that's why it's called "hope" and not "fact".

Re: Crawford?
Count me as idiot #4. I'm sure there are better things I could be doing with my time (ie. studying for finals) than checking this board every hour, but I refuse to believe that he will not be eligible until I hear an OFFICIAL word from XU. Maybe the fact that the announcement keeps getting delayed bodes well for the appeal??? At least it means the appeals committee is considering the case.....maybe......hopefully.......
