Hurley was SOOO outcoached. He let his team take 37 of their 67 shots from 3 point range…55% of their shots! And then he complained about the foul disparity. If you don’t take the ball to the hoop, you’re not going to draw many fouls. And then to have a crucial technical called because you’re complaining about the disparity you created is really like complaining about the cold with your pants down.
Little Pouty Dan really did remind me of another short, pouty coach yesterday. It’s really going to be fun to have Sean back.
Good post. Hurley is brutal.

Yesterday was a matchup of college basketball's biggest on-court scumbag (Hurley) versus the biggest off-court scumbag (Miller).

Thankfully our veteran team got the job done in a great atmosphere.

Ok, I shall address the mosquito in the room. Mr. XavierMuskie2003. Whom I submit neither roots for X, nor had anything to do with the University anytime near 2003. LOL. After his most thorough public humiliation a couple weeks ago when the NCAA cleared Coach Miller, he seemed to slink away in disgrace. But his thirst to troll got the better of him as X continues to thrive and start to piece together a truly enjoyable and successful season. To be determined of course but so far we are all having fun and delighted with the campaign to date. So that must have just stuck in XM2003’s crawl and festered so much this weekend that he finally succumbed to his true nature – that of a petty jealous troll. X racks up it's first signature win of the year and this thread starts out nicely. As it should. Then our boy makes an entry with a very subtle backhanded slight. No one takes the bait. A few posts later, having been ignored, he tries again. This time with another sneaky, and in his mind, clever little zinger. Again, no one bites. Well, that obviously really damaged his frail psyche, as his third stab earlier this afternoon devolved straight into the sewer. Nice try, but as someone famously said “ Homey don’t play dat” Come on dude, you’re so transparent – it’s beyond pathetic….
** Now I return everyone back to our main program: How ‘bout dem Muskies!!!! Huge win. Love it. Happy New Year ***

Why was Sean fired from Arizona if he is as good as some on this board claim?

Why was Sean just cleared of all wrong doing and not suspended? I'll hang up and listen now.

because ESPN lied and supported a discredited "journalist" and furthermore, the FBI, I REPEAT, FOR YOU TO COMPREHEND THAT THE FBI, cleared Sean of all charges, so the NCAA had to do the same thing.

xaviermuskie2003, I think you forgot what I told you last time you tried to besmirch Sean and try to highjack threads, but you will have the time to think about how foolish you look to everyone here.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Great win.

Hunter was MVP of the game. His FT shooting was incredible and his activity on the glass was just as impressive.

Free had a great game and is having a fantastic season. He is night and day better than prior seasons. Defense is improved and decision making has been great other than a game here or there.

Kunkel did not play well. Jones had a very difficult stretch but got it back together and finished the game strong.

Jack is better than the Ucon center. Toughing it out was impressive.

Ucon is a good matchup for X. Jackson is the one player that is a tough matchup. X on the other hand has too many weapons for Ucon to contain. X will still have to play at a high level to get another W in the next matchup but there is no reason to fear Ucon even though they are legitimately a top 5 team. Ucon was without question the 2nd best team in Portland but Xavier is better when they avoid sloppy play.

Despite the call disparity, Ucon was +3 in bad calls going their way. As another pointed out, you generally don't get fouled shooting jump shots. The 2nd foul on Kunkel on the 3 point shot was 1 of the bad calls that Ucon got in their favor. 3 different angles all showed no contact with the shooter.

Ucon may go undefeated other than vs X. X should get 1 more win against Ucon and possibly 2 more. Some X players will have to play better in the next matchup.

Muskieman, I agree completely with you. This other poster continues to make posts like this, so my point was to challenge them to prove guilt rather than the rest of us prove innocence. But alas, it is best just not to engage a troll. My grandfather used to say "it's impossible to wrestle with a pig without getting dirty."

he/she was warned the last time he trolled us, and now he will be taking a vacation for the next two weeks to get his act together. If he can't get it together after that, there may be no hope for his long term participation
