Hunter and Freemantle
I am kind of confused about Hunter's and Freemantle's recovery time. Everything I have read on Achilles injuries say you have a 10 month to a year recovery . Most basketball players don't regain their peak for at lest two years after their injury. Freemantle's foot is obviously bad. He has had trouble with his foot for over 2 years on and off. I keep hearing we are fine with our N.I.L. money but we to seem to keep missing out on guys we are after. I know Klay Thompson on the Warriors took about two years to come back from his Achilles injury and he isn't close to the player he use to be. I think we need to get much tougher physically across the board to improve next year. If we have tough hungry players who buy into defense and the team concept we can get by with a couple high end N.I.L. scorers. We seem to have a lot of guys who are one dimensional and don't pay much attention to defense. I know the college game is changing and everyone wants the N.I.L. money and to score but we were way to soft and didn't seem to be much of a team. Hardly anyone was happy for other players and very few hustle plays. I hope I am wrong but I don't see Hunter being able to play next year. It would be nice if Nzeh changed his mind and came back. He would play a lot. My wish list for next year is three front court player. Two who can defend and play defense and one who can score. We also could use another guard ( besides Foster) who can defend and score. GoX

I wouldn't count on Hunter. Anything from him would be gravy. I am more optimistic about Free, but he has been out for a long time. I believe he has been working out, though. He would have been worth 3-4 wins last year, imo. One of the best, low-post scorers in the new, Conference of Champions.Kevin Reilly wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 11:51 amI am kind of confused about Hunter's and Freemantle's recovery time. Re: Hunter and Freemantle
Will be difficult for Hunter to be back in time for season, so expectations are low which makes losing Lazar, Nze, and Abu even tougher.
