Re: Seton Hall game thread
Swain with a terrible telegraphed pass. Freemantle with a three point shot and basket. Need to get some stops.

X hasn't won a war in the second half and SH has outscored X by 7 with one more war to play
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

can't believe X had two big men under the basket and threw it outside.

Why does an 8-point lead with 1:34 in the game seem so precarious?

Foster sleep walking today. This team is melting under pressure. Some of the dumbest plays.

Zero poise. Playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Nobody is confident against the pressure.

Don't throw it into the corner. Throw it to a big guy and than look down court. Keep it away from Swain.

Maddox"s D and Conwell's O saved this game

Terrible second half. Eighteen turnovers and gave up 45 second half points .Not sure how anyone including the TV announcers keep talking about Swain like he is NBA material. We played the second half like we did most of the first half of the season. No poise. sloppy turnovers and trying to run out the clock instead of playing aggressively to win. We have a lot to clean up if we hope to win out.

Re: Seton Hall game thread
Great out of bounds plays called by Miller again. X has only made the same turnover that contributed greatly to a loss at St. John’s and almost cost them one at Marquette, among others, about 7 times this year. Miller's philosophy is burn me once, shame on you. Burn me 11 times, shame on me. If you're going to make that stupid pass, which I get is where the press is designed to leave open to pass to, throw it to a tall athlete who can pass over the top of the trap like Swain. Even if they foul him, win-win for X. He’s the best FT shooter on the team. BTW, I sense a wrinkle for the next time a team pressures X. I think Miller will put Hughley in to be the point center, a la Jokic, and have him take the ball down.
Then, up double digits with SH aggressively pressing, he plays Hunter and Foster mainly, instead of Maddox, who is a better ball handler and free throw shooter. Miller did this, even though Foster, who I like, is unable to dribble with the least bit of pressure and took an elite-level stupid three 8 seconds into the shot clock, with an 8 pt lead, and 1:50 left in the game. Then, to cap it off, after a SH timeout, he puts Foster back in, instead of Maddox. Yes, the same Maddox who, up six, challenged a three by a SH player with 22 seconds to go, then stripped a SH player from a sure-fire stick back. Ball game.
Freemantle with a rough game, with 6 T.Os., along with the usually great (in terms of balls security) McKnight who had 4. X loses leads because they have no alpha (i.e. Tu). Well, at least they didn’t suffer the same fate as Connecticut last week.
Oh, btw, Sean Miller should get a million-dollar bonus. He had more than 2 timeouts left with under18:47 on the clock in the 2nd half. Usually, he burns at least a couple by the point, because someone did something egregious like miss a block out on a rebound or missed an open cutter to the basket. Baby steps.
