Rolyns Aligbe from Southern Illinois could be next. A 6'9" defensive oriented big that can rebound.
I want Aligbe very badly too, but X will has competition. He and Nwoko in at the sme time would give X two really good rebounders. He is effective in the paint, but also shoots well from 3 for a big (35%). He averaged about 2/gm. He had a big jump from freshamn to sophmore year, so I'd love to have him for two more.

I can see him being a 22 minute a game guy playing the 4 and 5 spot. X does have competition, but zoning on him pretty hard. Mman took $24 out of our moderator petty cash drawer and bet that Aligbe ends up at X, so I am hopeful.

You got it AH

Rick Broering @RickBroering
Xavier just landed a commitment from Southern Illinois transfer Rolyns Aligbe.

Aligbe is a 6-9, 240-pound big man with big defensive upside who averaged 9.5 ppg (46.7% FG, 34.8% 3PT), 7.4 rpg , & 1.0 spg in 24.5 mpg.

Scouting report to follow soon
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Another couple of good pick ups. The Aligbe brothers are just what the doctor ordered. We really needed a big physical front court player to team up with Nwoko. I really like the pick ups who play both ends of the court. I still think we need another point guard to maximize the roster. Maybe their counting on House to play early.

That is the plan

It feels like X has seven quality starters, whose playing time will be dependent on matchups and need.

I would love a veteran combo guard, though I have a lot of confidence in House. He's more of an off guard though. You can't have just one primary ball handler, especially considering how cursed X has been with the injury bug the last few years.

I agree 100% with Anti-homer. If we still have money it would be nice to get a fast point guard. We need a little speed to complement Pozzato.

It's interesting that X is pursuing the 7'5" center from USC (Dynes?), along with a lot of other schools.

He has visits schedule with X, Louisville, & UK. UC is pursuing him as well, and he apaprently played for Calhoun at one of his previosus stops, so I would assume he would visit UC when he comes to X.

I wonder how this would impact Westphal's status if he commits, but that's a long way off.

He is from Independence Ky. Maybe Justin should give him the look around. Doesn't have many highlights but has nice footwork for a guy that big and when he is near the basket, he dunks the ball. I have seen him in the pick and roll, and he does just get the ball. At 7'5" he is a good bet even if you put him the basket for nothing but blocking shots and dunking the ball. He is an obviously big man but he gets the ball where few people can affect his shot except maybe a plus 7 footer.

UK and Louisville are in the battle which means we don't have much chance but if they want him then why wouldn't X.

He is scheduled to visit Xavier on Tuesday, UK on Wednesday, Louisville on Thursday, NC State on Friday, Kansas on Sunday

I hope he visits no one after Tuesday
