I agree with pyro. I'll probably get banned from this site for saying this, but I had no problem whatsoever with Mr. Neutral's post or Mr. Neutral's questions. Give me a break, if Coach Mack can't handle some tough questions, then he shouldn't have signed up to be the head coach. You people are ridiculous. Mr. Neutral is the main reason why I visit and post to this message board. Without Mr. Neutral, I'm pretty sure I'd never visit this board because without Mr. Neutral, this board would be just like most other boards: full of a bunch of hyper, ultra-defensive homers that attack you for saying anything negative.
So, to Mr. Neutral, I say thank-you for making this board the interesting, fair, and balanced place that it is. Mr. Neutral, you are one of the few people other than a few others on this board, that keep this board from becoming a boring, uninteresting, no-negativity-allowed place.
And BTW, I think you or Shadow or whoever is doing the banning on this site, needs to get a life and grow up. I don't visit xavierhoops.com that often, but that site seems to ban people left and right. And with all the additional bannings on this site lately, this site seems to be becoming more and more like xavierhoops.com, and that is NOT a good thing. Whatever happened to freedom of speech?

Again, posting his ridiculous questions on the board is fine and I'm sure many will respond with their opinions but to post them in a thread started by the coach asking for a noisy crowd is 1.) off topic, 2.) in poor taste and 3.) poorly timed.xu39 wrote:I agree with pyro. Gary knows this but will never admit it.
If his questions were in their own thread there would be no issue.

As people stated, many of us knew Chris from school. He is tough, he can take it.

Will Anthony Irwin "Tony" Kornheiser be there?Shadow wrote:That's for dropping in , coach.
If I could, I'd meet with the former coach here in Tucson and have a beer or two while watching the game but I doubt he'd accept my invite.
I'll be watching on the tube to see how the on site fans react to your message.
PS. MM, MOR and the rest of you - put on your cheerleader outfits.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

39, I think you're missing the point. People aren't upset with admin's questions, it's the forum where he chose to ask them. Why not start a new thread with these questions? I think a rare thread like this one from the coach should not be a place for asking questions like admin's. And I think the history of this board is such that admin pretty much knew what the reaction would be - he may be a curmudgeon but he's not stupid. Now instead of the talk being about coach's post it's about admin's post.
It's just poor taste to ask the questions under the circumstances.
As for banning, unless I'm really missing things banning on either site is a very rare occurrence and is only done to those who repeatedly show disregard to the site's guidelines - not for merely being a dissenting voice.

Lets bring this back around to Coach's point. For those of you going to the game, just make as much noise as you can as the Muskies dismantle the Spiders.
I will be there in Section 207, Row F with my son and two grandchildren. We will all be making a lot of noise.
Go X!

Gary Parrish sure liked Coach's comments:

Mark Twain was wrong. Golf is NOT a good walk spoiled. It is a shared personal experience in a majestic wonderland guided by God, whose name is called frequently during the round.

I'm sure you can talk all you want at Coach Mack, but, sensibly, all of his interactions with fans is going to be measured and controlled.
