if you don't believe me, just read the newspaper. Stan has said so himself about 10 times the past couple weeks.

After watching Stan for four years and after seeing his transformation into a complet player, there is no reason that after a few more years of basketball--somewhere--he could be coaching.

I see the same fire and determination in his eyes that I saw in Justin Cage. There is a focus and a will to learn. I believe either of them would be welcome additions to our coaching staff after their playing days are finished.

The intenseness rubs off--Miller to Burrell to Jackson.

It will be a part of the make-up of a few others before it is all said and done. I see it emerging in Love and Brown, as well.

You obviously don't like the fact that Stan is outspoken.I don't have a problem with it especially if he backs it up.He is without question the leader of this team and is probably the first X player since Chalmers who leads with his voice and his actions.Go Stan!

And I see that a player from the other team in town made that league's first team. Congrats, michiganman. I assume he is the leader of that team that lead them to last Sunday's loss with a 45-point margin of defeat that was the worst for that team since they lost to Denison, 78-29, on Feb. 14, 1913. Now that is a leader!

It's just what somebody thinks ...

Stan's the VOCAL leader of this team. Only the coaches and players know who is the ACTUAL leader of this team. It might be Stan, it might be Josh, it might be..which of us can say?

good point mr. neutral. i would think a real leader wouldn't have to announce his status every time he talks to the media (which is what stan does).

Yes and no, michigan. Michael Jordan often referred to "his team" and his role as the clear leader on the club, which he obviously was. What's the saying-it's true if you can back it up?

I will tell you this, what Stan is doing has the blessing of the coach. That should tell you something and it is clear that Stan is the leader of this team. To me Xavier's problem has always been that they are too quiet and don't have much of a swagger. I doubt you ever played the game michiganxman but I would love to have a guy like Stan on my team. If teams don't like it they will have a chance to shut Stan up, but I doubt that happens and I am sure the guys he plays with love it. The game is not for guys who play soft and no one can ever say Stan plays the game soft.
