That's assuming there's a point there to start with, which was not the case with your initial post.
But you've got a vivid imagination (as is evidenced by your ability to put words in a writer's mouth), so I'm sure you'll find a point in there somewhere. Good luck, it may take a while.

so you've effectively convinced yourself i had absolutely no point in my first post and that i am putting words into someone's mouth. I need to pick your brain more because you are seeing something that nobody else is seeing. People like Skip Bayless make a lot of money doing that so i would contact Bristol and set up an interview.

I would like to chime in and state that I can see both sides here. Coach Matta did happen to fall into the "perfect storm" with the players he inherited. West, Sato, Chalmers, etc some of the best to put on an X uniform, but the fact is that Matta largely got them to where they ended up (National Player of the Year, Elite 8). I would also like to take one exception.

Justin Cage, Justin Dolleman, Brandon Cole were not exactly chopped liver. I get that Coach Miller likely had a lot to do with their recruitment, but they are still officially Matta recruits. Also, I do believe Matta's staff had a role in getting Burrell, Brown, maybe Raymond to Xavier. Despite the way he left, I would hope that Coach Matta could be remembered more fondly. After all, in a very real way, Coach Matta got Xavier its best recruit....Sean Miller.

Wasn't Skip Bayless once a columnist /reporter with the Chicago Sun Times and didn't he write a sports column with his wife(can't remember her name) several times a week. Are they still married and does either of them have any connection with the Sun Times?
